Westlock Digital EPIC D410/D420

The Westlock Digital EPIC D281/D291 are premium flameproof (Ex db) intelligent rotary valve position transmitters with integrated solenoid valve (SOV) control, designed for Zone 1 / Division 1 hazardous areas. This all-in-one unit combines precise non-contact position feedback, HART® 7 communication, and direct valve control (ESD/PST) in a single, robust housing. The D281 uses a low-copper aluminum enclosure, while the D291 features 316 stainless steel for extreme corrosion resistance in offshore, chemical, and upstream oil & gas applications.

Features

1.Microprocessor-Based Technology: 

Enables digital communication via HART® protocol for seamless integration.

2.Remote and Local PST & ESD: 

EPIC D410 features partial stroke test (PST) and emergency shutdown (ESD) initiated remotely via HART® signal or locally at the device for enhanced safety.

  • 3.Non-Intrusive Magnetic Calibration:

  • Calibration input sensors on the outside of the EPIC D410 enclosure allow calibration without removing the cover, maintaining safety in potentially explosive environments.

  • 4.Non-Contact Valve Position Measurement:

  • Magnetic pick-up eliminates mechanical drive arms or linkages, increasing reliability in high cycle applications or where vibration is present.

  • 5.Highly Visible Position Indicator:

  • Ensures clear visibility of valve position.

  • 6.Additional Sight Glass:

  • Provides a view to the product’s LCD display for easy monitoring.

  • 7.Extra Conduit Entries and Internal Terminal Points:

  • Facilitates mounting and backwiring of a solenoid valve.

  • 8.Durable Enclosure:

  • Low copper content aluminum enclosure with polyurethane enamel coating assures both strength and corrosion resistance.

  • 9.Versatile and Globally Certified:

  • Approved for use in hazardous environments, suitable for both rotary and linear valves.
